Student Age Distribution at Alabama Colleges

A total of 263,891 students are enrolled in Alabama colleges including 4-year colleges, community colleges, and trade schools.

In Alabama colleges and universites, 23,027 students are 18 years old or younger(8.73%), 66,075 students are 18 or 19 years old (25.04%), 55,976 students are between 20 and 22 years old (21.21%), 37,683 students are between 22 and 24 years old (14.28%), and 27,243 students are between 25 and 29 years old (10.32%).

28,980 students are between 30 and 39 years old (10.98%), 15,317 students are between 40 and 49 years old (5.80%), 7,412 students are 50 years old or older (2.81%).
