Student Age Distribution at Missouri Colleges

A total of 271,169 students are enrolled in Missouri colleges including 4-year colleges, community colleges, and trade schools.

In Missouri colleges and universites, 36,598 students are 18 years old or younger(13.50%), 62,139 students are 18 or 19 years old (22.92%), 54,530 students are between 20 and 22 years old (20.11%), 42,500 students are between 22 and 24 years old (15.67%), and 30,114 students are between 25 and 29 years old (11.11%).

27,255 students are between 30 and 39 years old (10.05%), 12,407 students are between 40 and 49 years old (4.58%), 5,448 students are 50 years old or older (2.01%).

Student Population by Age for Missouri Colleges

In Missouri 4-year colleges and universites, 26,177 students are 18 years old or younger(5.92%), 45,302 students are 18 or 19 years old (10.24%), 46,388 students are between 20 and 22 years old (10.48%), 38,219 students are between 22 and 24 years old (8.64%), 26,476 students are between 25 and 29 years old (5.98%), 23,136 students are between 30 and 39 years old (5.23%), 10,681 students are between 40 and 49 years old (2.41%), 4,716 students are 50 years old or older (1.07%)

In Missouri community colleges, there are 26,997 students are younger than 20 years old (27.56%), 12,077 students are between 20 and 24 years old (12.33%), 3,477 students are between 25 and 29 years old (3.55%), and 6,383 students are 30 years old or older (6.52%).

In Missouri trade schools, there are 261 students are younger than 20 years old (13.57%), 346 students are between 20 and 24 years old (17.98%), 161 students are between 25 and 29 years old (8.37%), and 194 students are 30 years old or older (10.08%).
