Student Age Distribution at New Mexico Colleges

A total of 95,303 students are enrolled in New Mexico colleges including 4-year colleges, community colleges, and trade schools.

In New Mexico colleges and universites, 10,793 students are 18 years old or younger(11.32%), 20,114 students are 18 or 19 years old (21.11%), 15,617 students are between 20 and 22 years old (16.39%), 12,893 students are between 22 and 24 years old (13.53%), and 11,645 students are between 25 and 29 years old (12.22%).

13,217 students are between 30 and 39 years old (13.87%), 5,978 students are between 40 and 49 years old (6.27%), 4,442 students are 50 years old or older (4.66%).

In New Mexico trade schools, there are 20 students are younger than 20 years old (10.31%), 41 students are between 20 and 24 years old (21.13%), 18 students are between 25 and 29 years old (9.28%), and 18 students are 30 years old or older (9.28%).
