Many well-known colleges and universities are developed online divisions to offer online degree programs, and the number of online students has grown very rapidly.

2,671,714 students enrolled online exclusively, and the number of online students decreased by 288,729 from last year. The decline in the number of online students appears to be due to the end of the pandemic.

Southern New Hampshire University has the most online students of 157,898 out of 164,091.00 total students (96.23%) among 1186 colleges that offer online programs.

Western Governors University with 156,935 online students and University of Phoenix-Arizona with 88,724 online students are following it in The largest online Colleges ranking.

Southern New Hampshire University ranked 1st, up 1 place from 2nd last year. Western Governors University ranked second, a drop from first place last year.
