The average acceptance rate of the 40 Virginia colleges that have competitive admission is 73.02% for the academic year 2023-2024. Compared to last year, the acceptance rate is lower by 2.38%. The acceptance rate at 16 Virginia colleges increased and the rate of 22 colleges decreased.

Washington University of Science and Technology has the lowest (i.e. hard to admit) acceptance rate of 10.92%. Washington and Lee University (16.99%) and University of Virginia-Main Campus (17.00%) are following it in the list of Tightest Virginia Colleges to get in.

This ranking is only based on acceptance rates and more admission stats such as SAT and ACT scores are helpful to measure the chances to get in more accurately.

The average undergraduate tuition & fees of the schools is $42,683 and graduate tuition & fees is $26,314 for the academic year 2023-2024.
